The Emergency Department is housed in a separate building in the hospital complex. It is centrally air conditioned, well equipped. It has separate Resuscitation Unit, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Burn ICU, CCU and an Isolation room. There are three separate dedicated OTs in the emergency department itself, for handling trauma and surgical emergencies. Apart from this, there is separate minor OT in the emergency wing for minor procedures.

Junior and Senior Resident are available round the clock in the emergency on rotation basis for handling all kinds of emergencies. A separate in-house dedicated X-ray wing do exist in the Emergency unit for doing emergency X-ray which help in quick decision making and early intervention without delaying the resuscitation and management. Emergency unit is fully supported round the clock by Radiology Department services in the form of CT scans, MRIs, Ultrasounds etc. Also the availability of in-house blood bank having the facility of state-of-the-art blood component separator helps in treating the emergency and any trauma patients with the world class care.
